Failure to notify fire dept. yields day of alarms
False alarms plagued the Elmwood Park Fire Department last week. The cause was work being done Aug. 25 at Elm Towers, 7830 North Ave., said Fire Chief Michael Marino. "It would have been nice if we had been warned about the work," he said. "Usually during the construction, the alarm is taken out of service."
